Greater Buffalo's Premier Organics Recycling and Compost Professionals
Why Compost?
Did you know that most of what you throw away is not in fact garbage, but a highly reusable resource? Composting keeps those organic materials in production, keeps them out of landfills and instead uses them to revitalize and fertilize soil, all while creating a cleaner healthier community!
How it Works
After you sign up we’ll deliver your official green 5- gallon compost bucket and compostable liner. Over 2 weeks you fill it with your organic waste (for info on what to compost click HERE). On your designated day leave the bucket out for us. The Compost Crew empties it and leaves a fresh, clean liner. You then rinse your bucket and repeat! It’s that simple.
Areas We Serve
Buffalo, Kenmore, Tonawanda, Amherst, Williamsville, Lancaster, Cheektowaga, Depew & Village of East Aurora
Don't see you neighborhood listed? Check out our Neighborhood Drop Off Program for an alternative composting option near you!
If we receive enough interest requests in an area, we may explore expanding our pick up service. Fill out the request form below to add your area to our list and stay in the loop of potential new pick up service areas!
Where it Goes
The Farmer Pirates operate a compost site on Buffalo’s East Side. We have a team of people who manage and maintain the compost piles by mixing your food waste with different local carbon sources to create rich “finished” compost to be used on local urban farms and gardens.
What's In it for you?
Cleaner air. Less waste. A smaller carbon footprint. A greener home. A stronger community. Incredibly healthy soil.
Residential Composting
The average American family produces close to 300 pounds of organic material every year that could have been COMPOSTED! Instead of sending it to a landfill, let us turn your trash into treasure!
